Das Problem ist so alt wie Google: Wenn man eine URL in einer Website anführt, so bringt es dem Verlinkten sehr viel. Die verlinkte Website bekommt eine höhere Relevanz. Vor allem für Blogs mit controversem Inhalt kann sowas sehr interessant sein.
Will man auf eine Website von Konkurrenzveranstaltungen hinweisen, so möchte man im Gegenzug natürlich keinen Vorteil für diese bieten - eben keinen durch Google verwertbaren Link setzen.
Andererseits könnte dieses Vorgehen auch einen juristischen Hintergrund bekommen, macht man sich doch in Deutschland grundsätzlich die Inhalte verlinkter Seiten zu eigen. Bei Linkweiterleitungen dürfte ein Kläger in Erklärungsnot kommen - vielleicht.
